What You Need to Successfully Fund Your Independent Film
I have always sef-funded my films so have not had experience of applying for funding. If you have experience of this or adive for other filmmakers, the please leave a comment below.

Funding your film is definitely a very important consideration and sometimes unfortunately an afterthought or deemed too hard for many producers. With the right attitude and legwork it is possible to find companies or individuals who are prepared to put money up if they see your film as a good investment or an opportunity to advertise their goods or services. I was successful in finding some cash for a documentary a while back from a health drink maker simply because their marketing direction fitted well with the concept of our documentary. The key is to be extremely well prepared with your budgeting and your direction and your offer to the potential sponsor. Be it product placement a mention in the script or whatever it may be. Try and find a good fit within your script to a product or service, maybe even change the script slightly if you need to. Obviously don’t sell out completely or make the product placement too obvious.
