HOUSE FINALE SHOT ON CANON 5D

HOUSE FINALE SHOT ON CANON 5D

It’s one of the most wanted and most talked about cameras in the industry right now, and the ante has just been upped a little with news that this years season finale of House has been shot exclusively using Canon’s 5D Mark II. House director Greg Yaitanes confirmed the rumours on Twitter and even answered questions about the entire experience and filming process.

The Canon 5D Mark II is a bit of celebrity right now and has been recently used to also film Saturday Night Live’s new opening title sequence as well as feature film Searching For Sonny.

Seeing professional applications of these cameras is a great inspiration to us amateurs! So if you know of any others please let us know by leaving a comment below.

  1. Great story – I think this easy access to technology will lower the barriers and allow 15 year old kids to use their McDonalds income to make blockbusters. The fact a major series like this is using this technology is encouraging

it is incredibly encouraging. What I like the most is that this takes away all the superficcial barriers to making the film, and leaves just the most important aspect as the differentiator.. the story! Now that we do not need to be obsessed with getting that ‘film look’ by ingenious uses of lens adaptors, post production grading, etc, we can just focus on the important aspects that will make the finished product engaging to the audience.
